Mouse doesnt function in VM Linux Guest. Host machine Win 10 - 64 bit / Guest is Linux Red Hat 8 I have been unable to connect the mouse. The mouse is a Logitech trackball with a USB receiver. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the USB Controller. I have applied: kb.vmware.com/kb/2057902 - not successful kb.vmware.com/kb/2000350 - (intro a quirks line to the Guest .vmx file with vid and pid from the log file) - this was not successful When I tried to use VM>Removable Devices>connect>usb devices the dialogue box appeared "Cannot connect 'Logitech USB Receiver' to the virtual machine. The host requires the device for input." I then applied kb.vmware.com/kb/2000350 - not successful which recognised the device but did not allow it to function on the virtual machine (but removed it temporarily from the Host machine.
